Title: Best Beach Guide
Review: Instead of separate books on shells, fish, arthropods, plants and so forth, this volume brings it all together. Beautifully illustrated with concise and informative text. The geology and mechanics of the tidal and wave action, sand movement, and littoral zone are wonderfully explained and tied together. Anyone with a touch of scientific curiosity about the beach ecologic system will find this a handy guide and satisfying read. Finding a beach book that deals with a single location is rare. The three states covered in this volume are sufficiently similar to be covered in depth in a manageable single volume.

Title: Awesome guide and great gift for kids!
Review: Such a great book! We live in Hilton Head and this was a great birthday gift for my 6 year old who loves exploring our beaches and learning about where we live. I consider some other more kid-centered beach guide books but they were all super basic and not terribly detailed. This one isn’t necessarily designed for kids, but it still works great because we read through it as a family and I think my kids will use it for years. It includes pictures and has so many great details about our specific ecosystem and I love this book as much as my kiddos! We keep it in the car and thumb through it all the time.

Title: Six start! A treasure trove of help-full info!
Review: When you purchase a book online you just never know what you'll get. What a sweet surprise this book is! Not only is it opening my eyes beyond what I can see of the abundant life on the seashore, it's preparing me for my move to the coast and helping to know, in part, what to expect with weather, erosion, etc. I now know why some of the live oaks look like they do (salt pruning). The pictures are colorful and big. Fantastic book. Well done!

Title: I thought it was supposed to be new?
Review: I got the book on time and also made sure that the inside was in good a condition( which it was), but the cover has wear on it which makes me think this was used.

Title: A beautiful and really useful guidebook
Review: If you carry only one book on Coastal Georgia's plant and animal life, this can be it. Extremely comprehensive for identification and comparison, you will find chapters covering everything from what you can find in tide pools, or attached to pier pilings, or creepy crawling in the sand or tidal mud. Great color pictures help identify the large variety of shore and sea birds, mollusks, shells, plants, and strange things. The book opens with a large chapter describing in photos and text many things you never noticed about the beach and it's important features. Could only wish that it was spiral bound making it easier to use.
